Can't promise I'll start listing and keeping track again but can't think of a better place to keep track of this than here. It's been years, but these area posts used to work for me?
Was driving the long way around down to my house in Southern CA today! Was on the 58 heading towards
Tehachapi when started hearing the old familiar HTW sounds I get for this area. Not real strong, I've heard
worse. But this happened as I was approaching, driving over, and a bit beyond the Garlock fault zone!
Started before Tehachapi, before the windmills. Some of you will know this area? Quieted down a bit going
over, but then between the fault and Mojave got very strong again. Especially in the right ear, sounding
like it was coming from over my right shoulder, between me and Tehachapi? If that makes sense. I listened
to it for some time and kept pointing "that direction" to my husband, which once we reached about Mojave I
realized amounted to about a NW direction from Mojave? Not sure if all that makes sense but want to watch
and see what if anything comes of it! If it works, this map:
above 34.50N and below 35.50N, most likely between Tehachapi and the SAF?
