Given my sensories lately and reports from the rest of you regarding SoCal on the "Symptoms" page, I'm now beginning to wonder.  Last night, out socializing with friends, I was walking one of them to his car when we were confronted by a rather sickly-looking possum on the street.  At first the possum refused to give ground to us, then it slowly walked off.  After we arrived at my friend's car, we turned to see the same possum confronting an automobile trying to come up the street.  The driver didn't wanna run over the poor thing, so he waited until the animal scurried beneath the car and away.

Then, driving through the neighborhood on my way home shortly thereafter, a coyote crossed the busy thoroughfare in front of me.

All this made me wonder if these animals were reacting to something.  Trying to flee?
