The Channel Islands quake was preceded by a 2-pointer last Sunday, and followed by another 2-pointer less than an hour later.  Yet another 2-pointer occurred after that, north of the Islands, in the Santa Barbara Channel.  The Santa Monica Bay quake, above, occurred several hours later and closer to shore, just off the beaches at El Segundo.
